About Village Store

  • 🍌 Horrendously overpriced due to lack of competition in the area, bananas are £1 for four!
  • 🛒 Very poor customer service, with massive queues while staff pack shelves or smoke outside.
  • 💳 The old man behind the counter doesn’t understand contactless payments and insists on inserting debit cards.
  • 😡 Multiple instances of extreme rudeness towards customers, blaming his own ineptitude.
  • 🏭 Despite supporting local independent businesses, the preference is to make the trip to Bromley and hope Tesco buys them out.
  • 👨‍💼 The big guy with golden eyes behaves like a manager until you actually ask for the manager. Rude and arrogant without understanding customer service or human etiquette. Higher prices than most convenience stores plus a 60p charge for card payment. Possibly the worst shop in Bromley.
  • ✨ There is a Londis next door that offers great service with lower prices than Village Store. They will soon also have Buspass, Paypoint, and Lottery services available which eliminates the need to walk all the way to Bromley.
