In the first of a three-part series at Burgh House, rising-star pianist Keval Shah joins Spanish soprano Lorena Paz Nieto, a graduate of the National Opera Studio, for a recital of songs by Hugo Wolf and William Walton. All three concerts in the series will celebrate the cultural life of Hampstead and its environs.

Fantastic Children's Concert – Magnard Ensemble

Ever wondered if you can make a garden hose play the Mozart horn concerto? Ever thought about what would happen if you tied a marigold glove to the top of a bassoon? Come and hear the fantastic Magnard Ensemble, a well-known wind quintet with wide experience of performing for children. Alongside their engaging demonstrations of how their instruments work, they will play accessible classical favourites. Adults £8, children go free. Tickets available at the door. The concert is aimed at 4-11 year olds (and their parents/carers).

Unplugged is Burgh House’s quarterly acoustic open mic event, for musicians, poets and performers. Come along for a Sunday afternoon of eclectic performances and take your chance to perform in the beautiful and historic Music Room. Michael Morpurgo in Conversation
Friday 19th October at 7pm at Burgh House
Michael Morpurgo will be in conversation discussing his recent translation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic fable The Little Prince. The mysterious, innocent and beautiful boy who appears to a pilot stranded in the desert and makes an extraordinary request has captured the hearts of millions of readers around the world. His story first appeared in 1943, written down by an aristocratic French aviator who soon after disappeared during a flight across the sea.
An Evening with Sue Perkins
In aid of Paws2Rescue

Comedian, writer and presenter Sue Perkins, will be in the chair telling us about her travels and her forthcoming book. All proceeds will be going to UK Paws2Rescue which works mainly in Romania picking up injured and abandoned dogs off the streets and finding them forever homes.
