About Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church
- 🏰 Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church is a beautiful modern suburban church that is open during the day. It has a design similar to St Thomas More at Swiss cottage and was consecrated around the same time.
- ✝️ The church has 12 consecration crosses with names of the apostles written on them. It is bright, airy, and clean, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
- 🌷 On the right side of the main door, there is a lovely Garden of Remembrance. The garden also features a nice statue of Our Lady near the priest house.
- ⛪️ The local school shares its name with martyred reformation figure St Swithin Wells who was executed in London. His wife died in prison. Additionally, St Swithin joins Our Lady in a statue located in the Lady chapel which doubles as a baptistry.
- 🚗 Parking may be limited at the church itself but on Sundays, you can park opposite Garage. There’s also room available at the back where you can partake in Mass with toddlers and babies.
