🏞️ Pynchester Moated site is a lovely park for a walk, with an open field and views of the HS2 works.
🌳 The moat itself is a point of interest, but it’s not the sole reason to visit the park.
⛲ The recently excavated site of a medieval moated manor house is located on a river bend, though no buildings are left on the island and around half of the moat has silted up.
🎠 For families, there are kids’ playgrounds with a zip line and an outdoor fitness equipment area in the park.
🚶‍♂️ There are nice walking paths and some cool secluded places to explore, making it perfect for an afternoon walk or picnic spot.
⛰️ It can be challenging to access in summer due to overgrowth, so keep this in mind if you plan to visit during that time.
💔 Unfortunately, some visitors were disappointed as they couldn’t find much to see at Pynchester Moated site besides its interesting history and pleasant walkability.
