Remarkable little shops
I first went to these shops in the late 1990s. I found a LOT of Swamp Thing and related comics here, which were high quality and very affordable. The shops are fairly small but pack in as much as they can. There’s no mail order catalogue. One has to visit and browse in order to find stuff. When I needed to clear out some comics, the Notting Hill crew bought a large stack of them. They also bought some of my vinyl records, although they had to be selective. They had no room for my late parents’ classical LPs! They already had tonnes of those. It’s useful that the shops stay open until 8pm so that we can visit after office hours. The nearest tube station is Notting Hill Gate: only 1 minute’s walk away.
