Restaurant

We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

Today I visited here for the first time and watched how kind and generous the lady of the cafe was to three young teenagers. It warmed my heart how she was so welcoming and lovely, it felt like such a family atmosphere! I would love to see places that treat their customers like this thrive more. The pastries are fantastic too, next time I will enjoy one with a cup of coffee! Well done you xx

Location: looks small, but there is more seating inside. Easy to reach by bus and underground.
Food: taste really good, we’ve tried 3 items and 2 hot drinks, all were up to my expectation. prices are reasonable (total was around 33£).
Staff: very friendly and give great advices.
Would appreciate if the tables get cleaned thoroughly.

The food was tasty and the baked goods were fresh, with orange juice made from 100% fresh fruit and a refreshing iced coffee on a hot day (bonus points that they serve drinks with paper straws!). We sat on a communal table which was a rather nice experience, and there we shared condiments such as jams, salt, pepper and sugar. They also sell all the items they serve, ranging from jams to baked items that you can also take away, all being organically prepared. Staff were friendly and tried their best to be attentive even though it was rather busy, definitely returning for a meal again. It is a very cosy place and has a wonderful atmosphere, great for a date or a catch up with friends.

So happy this cafe reopened finally! It was my dream to take my baby here for a coffee before lockdown. Lots of space to fit pram and the staffs are really friendly. It gets busy during weekends but weekday lunch time is perfect for new mums who wish to have a coffee and snack during daily walk. Great pasties of course!!

Poor food and availability of juices, charge 11.50 for a vegetarian brunch, dry bread, 1 portabello mushroom and half a tomato, pickled cucumber, really not 11.50, more like £1 of ingredients, poor service, plenty of other places to choose from. not recommended

Bit pricey for what you get. Some meals are more inventive than others, the beans and chorizo was very nice but some other menu items are quite basic.
Our service was very good and quick, but this branch needs some major upkeep as it’s quite dirty. Not the best dining experience surrounded by small flies. Hopefully someone can give this branch a bit of upkeep and modernisation.

The service is warm and friendly, and the food fairly solid. Could have toned down on the amount of bread per plate as it’s way too much bread for anyone I would have thought

No cash accepted. Concerning for civil liberties. Got stuck here when my card wouldn’t work (bank suddenly decided my card was stolen). Staff weren’t very understanding/cooperative.

Very poor service. On arrival we were warned that the service might be a bit slow as they were short staffed. After 45 minutes they still hadn’t taken our order and only did so when we got their finally their attention. We then waited another 45 minutes for food and drinks to arrive ! Within 5 minutes of receiving the food the waitress presented me with the bill ( whilst I was putting food in my mouth ) saying “I’m giving this to you now as we’re shutting in 5-10 minutes”. So unbelievably rude and not even the most basic customer service skills. So many better places to eat in the area, don’t waste your money here.
I would not recommend !!
