About King George’s Field
- King George’s Field is a small, well-maintained grassed area with a playground and all-weather court. 🌳 The park has some interesting trees with peculiar shapes and is located near the magnificent Southwark Park. 💫 Opposite the park are repurposed old Surrey Dock offices and Orchard House, which has a Blue Plaque dedicated to the exiled first President of independent Uganda, “King Freddie.”
- The playground in King George’s Field is neat and suitable for younger children. The play equipment may be weathered but remains in reasonable condition for its age without any broken or dangerous items. 👧🏻👦🏼
- Visitors find the park pleasant overall as it is quite well maintained, but some mention that it doesn’t offer anything particularly unique or special. It receives a 6/10 rating in terms of attraction level.
- For families, King George’s Field provides an enjoyable space for children to play while offering plenty of grassy areas for picnics or simply sitting back to enjoy some sun ☀️.
