Inconsistent opening times, poor service and a rude shopkeeper

Rated 1.0 out of 5

Claims about inconsistent opening hours and a rude mannered Asian shopkeeper are 100% correct.

This place will often open later and close earlier than the advertised operating hours, and the shopkeeper will make up random rules on the spot.

He refuses to accept card payments for gas/electric card top-ups and forces you to withdraw cash from his post office instead – surely he gets a commission from the post office for the withdrawals! One time he berated me when I refused to use his post office and instead use the Sainsbury’s cashpoint across the street!

Unfortunately I have to tolerate it as the next post office is 20+ minutes away and I’m regularly sending out parcels.
