Cecil Avenue Allotments

it’s a lovely allotment, with nice people and good parking. However because the council is selling/regenerating the whole of brent without always consulting those who will be affected by any changes they plan. We were accosted by a group of people advising they were from town planning, saying it was a foot path that was not to be used by Allotment owners. There are residents that have had their allotments for over 20 years and this has never been a issue. But because The Council have allowed a new school to be built at the end of Cecil Avenue, we are being told that this foot path is not for allotment users to drive down.

Again I say this pathway has been available to all allotment users for over 20 years, so the Planning Team that approach us is totally out of line. This is an infridgment on on rights to the use of the allotment. When you have heavy items to move and take to the allotment you need a car to do this. Also if you are a woman or a man you can not be walking down the allotment late at night by your self, it is not safe as the area is covered in greenery.
