The May Fair Kitchen is perfect for a special occasion such as a Birthday celebration. The dining room’s ambience is relaxed and elegant, decorated in natural materials with a hint of industrialism and soft lighting. The staff provide flawless service in a timely manner and with plentiful smiles. 

Whether you want to celebrate with an intimate meal for two or enjoy group dining for up to ten guests, May Fair Kitchen can tailor-make your ideal time with their private dining. They offer two Bespoke Dining Experience menus, each with a selection of small plates for sharing, a signature main dish, two sides, and two desserts.

  • The £50.00 menu includes a mouthwatering selection, such as Paprika Dusted Calamari, Crispy Chicken, and Palm Sugar Rice Pudding.
  • A £65.00 menu offers Sea Bass, Skewered Beef Tenderloin, and a Sweet Taco.

If you are a chocoholic, May Fair Kitchen, in combination with Master Chocolatiers Charbonnel et Walker, has created a dream afternoon tea for chocolate lovers, available at weekends 1 pm – 4 pm. Two menus are available, the Afternoon Tea for £35.00 or an upgraded option at £45.00, which includes Blood Orange and Pomegranate Royale and Moët & Chandon. 

Finger sandwiches included in the Afternoon Teas are chicken, truffle mayonnaise, and a vegetarian courgette pesto. The selection of scones is delicious, and the chocolate patisseries by Charbonnel et Walker are exceptional.

2. Bunga Bunga – All About the Fun

Bunga Covent Garden is all about the fun and the experience. It is a fabulous and original place that puts on a show. For a birthday celebration, Bunga Bunga will be an unforgettable occasion. Bunga Bunga Covent Garden opened six years after their first restaurant in Battersea. Only this time, they went bigger and bolder. 

On the ground floor, there is a family pizzeria and bar. A cabaret, pizzas, and plenty of drinks are on the floor below. Shows include the Secret Supper Club, filled with singing, dancing, and fun entertainment. Pizza-making parties from £39.00 per person, Karaoke nights, and the three-hour variety show, Bunga Vaza.

The food is Italian, and on the menu are antipasti from £8.00 for an Orzo Salad. Pizzas start from £18.00, and there are vegan and vegetarian options. The food is surprisingly delicious, considering the experience is more about entertainment.

The cocktails are excellent, with names that have an Italian twist.

All staff members at Bunga Bunga are friendly, smiley and polite, and the performers are fantastic. 

If you would prefer a private party, there are options for a Private Karaoke space for up to 15 guests for £90.00 for 90 minutes. It is possible to hire a bar for up to 70 guests, and for a large party, you can hire the whole venue for 400 guests.

3. Circolo Popolare – Incredible Italian Restaurant

One hundred and thirty crazy Italians run Circolo Popolare. The restaurant’s interiors provide the warm ambience of a Sicilian restaurant. Over 20,000 spirit bottles line the walls, and thousands of decorative lights hang from the ceiling. Plenty of greenery and a backdrop of Italian music contribute to a perfect setting for a birthday celebration.

An outdoor terrace with seating for 60 is a perfect area for dining alfresco on warm summer evenings.

Circolo Popolare has a menu that changes monthly to create beautifully presented and incredible food.

Opening in 2011, Medlar gained a reputation for serving excellent food with superb service in elegant surroundings. The restaurant is a joint venture between David O’Connor, Front of House, and Chef Joe Mercer Nairne. Together, they are working hard to be one of the best restaurants in London.

Food is seasonal from the British Isles and Europe. Dishes are French inspired with a touch of influence from around the world.

There are various menu prices from one course to three courses.

There is a private dining option for up to 28 in a private room on the first floor.

Medlar has an extensive wine list with an outstanding sommelier to help you decide. However, the restaurant has a corkage policy of £15.00 per bottle at lunchtime and £30.00 for evenings.
