Amazing Renting Experience
We are a couple living in Hong Kong and in search of a rental flat in London. We are extremely impressed by Miss Abbie White of Benham & Reeves – Hampstead. We do not have any previous renting experience in UK and the procedures.are totally complicated and new to us. With 7 hours time zone difference, the duration of daily communication is limited. However, Abbie worked in an amazing efficiency that the tenancy agreement was finalized and signed up within 10 days by all parties. We are particularly impressed by her prompt and professional responses to our queries, communications beyond her normal working hours for oversea tenants as us and cautiousness in identifying our typo mistakes. Without doubt, we enjoy the whole process and really appreciate her enthusiastic working attitude that has eliminated one of our major hurdles in moving to UK.

A big thank you to Abbie White who helped us to find a great flat. She sent very helpful photos and responded quickly to emails, which was crucial to find a new place. We were also somewhat slow to make a deposit payment and then made it to the wrong branch, but Abbie was on top of the things and finally everything was settled. She was also very helpful answering all our questions about the rental contract and managing our expectation when we waited for it to be signed. And another big shout out to Edelyn Reynolds, who helped us during next stages – rent, utilities, bills, etc. Communication was clear and prompt. We were very stressed as rental market was mental, and to finally find a great apartment with the help of supportive and professional agents was absolutely great.

I decided to work with Chris Cooper at Benhams, who I had some interaction with when he was working at another agent. I had moved abroad, so felt that I needed a high level of trust in the agent who was representing me, as I would not be physically available in case issues came up. I found Chris to be very honest and straightforward, and a pleasure to work with. The sales process has been smooth. He has dealt with the tenants in my property respectfully, and kept interactions to a necessary minimum. At the same time, he has arranged a successful sales process, which generated a number of offers and went to sealed bids. Interaction with other team members at Benhams has also been positive. I am very happy with my decision to work with Chris, and have not doubted it at any point in the process. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to others in need of his services.

The agent was completely useless. Messed up the contract 3 times by getting basic information wrong and we all had to resign. The house was also not in good shape when we moved in. Clearly no one went through the house or even cared how it was left. Our agent was NO help in trying to give us our keys. We had to go get them ourselves when were trying to move all our stuff. He was completely unhelpful in every single way possible. We still don’t even have our landlord’s contact information! By far the WORST experience I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve lived in 5 different countries renting.
