“Warning and please spend your time read my review before buying cars from this scam company”.

I am an international student who work part time as well. I was looking for a car to drive to work because I work in London, and I live 2 hours away from London. I found A40 motors on Auto Treader App which many people told me it is trustable application. I bought a mini countryman car at A40 Motors where is 40-44 Western Avenue, W37TZ on 30/08/23. I paid all cash for them which was 8,785 pound which include new MOT 1 year and I paid the warranty 2 years 399 pound more which total 9,184 pound. I am going to tell the story issue one by one, please spend your time read it you will know how much bad this company.

First (on 30/08/23)

The car was not ready for me to take at the same day that I paid the car. They said they had another car which was mini countryman as well and another customer bought it and wanted the car in the same day, so then they claim that they have to take some part out from the car that I bought and they already order the new one for my car and they made commitment that when the car done they will do free delivery at my home which is far from London 2 hours. Then, I cannot do anything because already I paid them all, I must wait.

Second (on 1/09/23)

I was checking on the app they put the price of the car that I already paid, up from 8,785 pound to 10,495 pound. I direct message asked them and they said “We have put it for a much higher price because we are low in stock and want to keep the car on page but put in hight price so nobody will call for it”. I was trust them.

Third (on 4/09/23)

I asked them that when can I get the car because I have to buy the insurance and I need to put the exact date for the insurance. Unfortunately, I have no the answer for that they read my text on WhatsApp but just not answer that they will check and get back to me but they are not.

Four (on 10/09/23)

I again asking when I can get the car because the reason that I bought the car because I want to save money on traveling by the train but still 11 days that I already paid, and I still not get the car yet. I was angry but cannot do anything because already paid and with cash. They seem like not care anything and I believe that the car was not normal now.

Five (on 14/09/23)

I keep calling them with many my friend because when they hear my voice, they just act like they busy cannot talk. I told them I need my money back now. Then they said the car already ready to take now. Then I went to take the car. The car looks perfect and very clean, so that make me think maybe I am the one who wrong, in rush and maybe the thing works like this in UK because everything people work slowly. Then I took the car back to my home. The car has NO MOT which they commitment at the start and NO Flue tank cap and have lots of smoke coming out.

Six (on 15/09/23)

I had to drive back to the company because NO MOT which they promised to do but they are not. Moreover, during the way drive to the company there is the sign appeared on the car that “Full engine power no longer available. Possible to continue journey. Drive moderately. Have the problem checked by the nearest MINI service”.

I gave the car to them to fix and do MOT.

I don’t know for some reason the MOT not passed. Again, I have to leave the car at their company to fix it out. They told me to come pick the car when the car ready. I said NO the company have to delivery anyhow because at first the promise that they will deliver but they have not. Remember that I stay far away from London 2 hours. It is not fun to travel all the time because of car issue. So, finally I got the car on 24/09/23.

Seven (0n 14/11/23)

After I got the car on 24/09/23 I take crae the car good as much I can I love the car like my sun I did service and drive very soft. I only used the car on Friday to drive 2 hours into London for work and stay in London till Sunday and drive back 2 hours to home. Never go anywhere far. Nevertheless, on 14/11/23 which is not even 2 months again the sign car issue come up which is the same sign that I the car have issue. I feel so bad with the A40 and not trust them anymore. I text them a lot that the car have problem but they was ignore me and not even answer the whatsapp, I called them manytime they not pick up. I used another my friend phone called them they pick up the call but when they hear my voice they just cut the call. I keep calling them but they just ignore. Then I talk with many people and everyone said they are like of scam people they sale verybad car and they not care and ignore and I cannot even ask my money back they will just say then sue me. I am just a international student here. I cannot fight with them. I make decision to take the car to another proper car mechanic shop. They found lots of issue in the car. They said the car very bad position. I lose money around almost 2,000 pound to fix the car which is not cover by the warranty because the warranty that A40 sale to me was a useless one. I fix the car and keep using which all the time get stress and scared that what will again issue appear.

Eight (on 7/12/23)

The car again have warning sign issue. I took to the car mechanic shop and this time I have to pay more than 250 pound to fix the car.

I would like to warn everyone NOT TO BUY the cars with this company because they are just scammer. They will not care you after they get your money. I cannot do anything cannot even sell the car now because I’m just a student, not have much money to lose. I bought the car with 9, xxx-pound and fixed the car 2, xxx-pound total. This is not only losing money, but also stresses and sadness.
