- 🌟 Been going here for over a decade. Service is 10/10, always welcoming. Portion size to quality to price ratio is also a 10/10. Never unsatisfied with my meal or experience here.
- 🌟 A good hearty English breakfast at the break of dawn. Set 4 (£6.90) offered a nice breakfast spread, including delicious black pudding, toast, and coffee. The Turkish servers were friendly and attentive. The cozy location smells amazing when the griddle is in use.
- 🌟 Lovely Sunday Roast Beef Lunch (available all week) with plenty of gravy for £8.90, which isn’t bad considering the current climate 😉.
- 🌟 Only surviving cafe in this area to get a proper English breakfast! Food is good and the atmosphere feels like an Eastend soap opera. Some find the old lady waitress grumpy at times but see it as part of the charm and respect that she’s been there for years.
- ⚡ Mixed opinion: “Not really English, is it?” – This comment shouldn’t discourage you because this cafe embraces multiculturalism in this town while preserving local traditions like serving heavy English breakfasts.
