- 👍 Service was excellent and friendly, with no issues in getting a table without a reservation.
- 👍 The outdoor seating area had a lovely garden and comfortable furniture.
- 👍 Everything felt clean and new.
- 😕 Food was good but not excellent. Brunch items with few sides were enjoyed, but the toast under the avocado and poached eggs was too small, disguised by kale.
- 🥂 Extensive drinks menu that wasn’t overly priced for the area. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough time to try them on this visit.
- 💔 A disappointing afternoon tea experience that didn’t match the advertised materials. Stale sandwiches and cheap cakes were served instead of brioche rolls, baguettes, tarts, éclairs, or compote.
- 💔 Restaurant service was poor despite having plenty of staff. It took 30 minutes for simple food to be served, which could have been made at home with better quality ingredients in less time.
- 💔 The price (£60) for such low-quality afternoon tea was embarrassing.
- 💔 Dissatisfaction led to the decision to never return to the Harbour Hotel due to paid parking being introduced.
