The Fish Café is a contemporary seafood restaurant comfortably located in the heart of Hampstead. After months of planning and full refurbishment, we’re excited to reconnect with the Hampstead community and welcome guests from further afield. Our concept is simple: to prepare and deliver quality fish cuisine, cooked from fresh, in traditional and straightforward ways.
We have created a HVL Score to fairly rate places from 1 to 5. This score is based on factors such as location, available services and their cost, customer feedback.

Nice little place. Not really suitable for a large party. Had the calamari starter but it was over cooked, very rubbery. I’m guessing it might of been frozen. As I also ordered the spaghetti with seafood mix, which had the calamari in it and that was also very rubbery. It just didn’t taste fresh. The clams, mussels and king prawns that was in the dish did taste fresh. A little bit more spaghetti and less tomato and fresh calamari would have made this dish perfect. The cheese on the mac and cheese is very strong and not suitable for my daughter. Apart from that everything was good. A bit over priced for the quality of food you was getting.

I went here on a whim after seeing a tik tok video by the creator of the place, he’s a really good runner and I can appreciate that.
The place was not particularly busy on a Friday and I am surprised as the food was pretty fantastic.
I must say that I started with some oysters, first time trying and I shan’t have again, not for me and I struggle to see why someone puts that in their mouth and goes “bring me more”.
However the lobster Mac and cheese is honestly outrageous, the lobster cooked extremely well, fresh and garlicky, with a side of arguably some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve had, super indulgent but as it’s treat day why the heck not, really well presented in a pan. I will certainly be back again in the future

Pasta was cooked well and there was plenty of prawns, though the only things that ruined it was the dill and the green chilli, the calamari unfortunately was extremely tough and I’d say overpriced for what it is too, the fried vegetables were a nice touch but extremely greasy, the taretare was lovely though. The waiter couldn’t really recommend as he doesn’t like fish but overall the place was OK.

Not really worth the trend. Merely a social trend. The pasta mains were extremely bland and just aesthetically pleasing and for the price, you’d expect a little more.
The only things that were reasonable were the starter calamari and the sides.
Customer service by a young boy was lovely however the manager treats the staff horribly, creating a tense atmosphere

I went there with my other half and we tried the mac and cheese, seafood spaghetti (but asked for linguine instead of spaghetti as I prefer it) and the soft shell crab burger.
The seafood linguine was lovely! The mac and cheese was really great too. I probably wouldn’t order the soft shell crab burger again but it was decent. The portions were pretty good, we even had some left to take home. We would definitely return and perhaps next time try the fish and chips.

Amazing! Service literally could not be better. The shop was planned to close at 10pm but the staff said its not a problem eat at your own pace we will stay open for you.
We ordered 1 cod and chips and 1 cod burger. Both delish! Arguably 1 of the best fish and chips I’ve had. Regularly checked on us to see if everything is okay. Patient when we asked our hundred questions about the menu.
I live pretty far away from hampstead and would happily come every week. Highly recommend. 5*s 10 out of 10. Really made such a good impression as you can tell from my review.
Definitely going to go back for the Lobster roll or even if it’s just to pop in and say hi to such amazing staff.

My boyfriend and I were there on a Thursday. We enjoyed our dinner it was our first time trying lobster! The restaurant is affordable, cozy the personnel are really nice, especially the waiters they’re professionals, we felt well taken care of and especially Mark who was attentive. I recommend and we will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!

Firstly customer service was excellent, the menu was extensive, however I feel that could be just a little bit more to make the food even better. There’s a lot of potential. Portion sizes were good. But wanted abit more umph i would return & try more things on the menu.

Found this restaurant via Instagram and the pictures of the food looked amazing so I had to try for myself. Attended last week and the food did not disappoint! Portions were generous (I even doggy bagged some mac n cheese) and everything tasted delicious and fresh. Service was also great. Would definitely go back

Okenemem
Came across them on Instagram. Ordered lobster roll mac and cheese. Truffle fries and salmon grilled with vegetables. The food was superb. The fries needed more Truffle as the flavour wasn’t potent enough but it was sufficient. I will definitely be back
