HAMPSTEAD VILLAGE BID LAUNCHES SECOND TERM BUSINESS PLAN

Hampstead Village BID is excited to publish its second term business plan for 2021-2026. This is a realistic plan with realistic targets at a realistic cost. It is a chance for Hampstead businesses to take the lead on the way in which Hampstead presents itself and is perceived.

We have listened and consulted our business and resident communities to pull together this business plan.

Firstly, we have made the below changes to the levy rules so businesses and organisations who fall below these changes will not pay into the levy.

  • Raised the rateable value (RV) threshold to £35,000. Businesses with an RV below £35,000 will not pay the levy.
  • 100% exemption for state schools
  • 100% exemption for charities
  • Lowered the multiplier to 1.25% (previously 1.5%)
  • Tightened the boundary

Secondly, following a robust consultation in March and April, we incorporated what our business community wants into this plan. The main project areas are marketing, capital projects, sustainable prosperity, greening and cleaning. With a clear vision this plan provides the BID with an opportunity to use the budget better in order to support our businesses through recovery and beyond.

This process is open and transparent. If anyone wishes to discuss this plan then they are welcome to get in touch and we would be excited to discuss the wonderful plan to make Hampstead an even better place to live, work, and visit.
