Chai Ki – Indian Soul Food

Chai Ki serves up Indian soul food with a modern twist. Chai Ki is owner Rohit Chugh’s second restaurant, although the two differ in style. The first restaurant is Roti Chai, Oxford Street offers Indian street food. In contrast, Chai Ki serves traditional Indian food that stirs up nostalgia with a touch of twenty-first-century creativity.

Chai Ki’s interior is striking, with a sleek and contemporary feel. It is bright and airy, with large windows to the front, high ceilings and ample decorative light fittings. There is a lively vibe, particularly at weekends when the restaurant is busy. However, service remains quick and friendly.

The restaurant has confirmed they serve halal lamb and chicken. However, occasionally, they provide meat that is not halal, which chefs always cook separately. Chai Ki also sells alcohol. They provide several non-alcoholic drinks and chai.

Gaucho restaurant’s story began in 1994 in London. However, the dream started long before. Whilst travelling in Argentina, the founder became inspired by the gaucho (Argentinian cowboy) lifestyle, such as how they raised their cattle and naturally grass-fed them. He wanted to introduce a piece of that way of life to London.

Seoul Bird – Fresh and Fast Seoul Street Food

Seoul Bird is an inspiration from two work colleagues who travelled across South Korea tucking into food tours. All their food is cooked fresh, fast, and full of flavour. They use natural ingredients, and their batter, sauces and salads are handmade.

The only meat Seoul Bird sells is chicken, which is high-welfare certified as halal. 

Seoul Bird has two London restaurants, one in Shepherd’s Bush and the other in Jubilee Place, Canary Wharf.

On the menu are Korean-Fried Chicks of various sizes. The chicken is soy-brined for 24 hours, coated in batter, and double-fried, which makes succulently tender and tasty chicken.
