Tips for a Fun and Safe Go-Karting Experience

Decide whether you would prefer indoor or outdoor karting. This could be particularly important to consider in the winter months, when an outdoor course may become wet in the rain. While it’s still safe, it might be more challenging for less experienced go-karters!

Check the minimum requirements. While most of these locations are family-friendly, some have minimum age and height requirements for safety reasons. It’s best to double-check these before booking to avoid disappointment.

Wear the right gear. Some of these tracks have clothing requirements, such as wearing full-length trousers, so make sure you wear something appropriate and comfortable. You may also be required to wear additional safety equipment, like a helmet and gloves, which will be available at the go karting centre.

Consider whether the venue has food and drink available. Some of these spots have cafes/restaurants on-site, but others do not. You might want to bring snacks, or find somewhere nearby to re-fuel after your race.
