The Ivy Market Grill Review: A Covent Garden Delight

The restaurant chain has multiple branches in London and across the country. The Ivy Market Grill is in the heart of Covent Garden, surrounded by trendy shops, bars, and a covered market. It buzzes with life, and magicians and musicians perform regularly, providing entertainment.

June is fast approaching, which brings Covent Garden’s Summer Festival and daily live music and entertainment. The Ivy Market Grill’s outside terrace overlooks the Piazza and is ideal for alfresco dining and absorbing the vibrant atmosphere.

The Ivy’s location amid a lively hub attracts a combination of locals and tourists for breakfasts, business lunches, cream teas, special occasions, and pre- / post-theatre dinners.

The interior is spacious, and large windows let in plenty of light. The overall appearance is sophisticated, blending Art Deco and modern. Dark wood panelling and burnt-orange insets clad the walls. The bar has a large marble counter, with seats a shade of green. The ladies’ bathroom is lavishly decorated in pink, giving the impression of a tropical garden.

There is an energetic atmosphere, and the noise levels are about right. Not too loud so you cannot have a conversation, and not too quiet so you eat in silence.
