Brunch is the perfect way to start a lazy Sunday – and what better place to go brunching than in the trendy borough of Hampstead?
The quaint artisanal shops, cobbled streets, and booming cafe culture in Hampstead make it the ideal place for a spot of brunch. But with so many cafes and restaurants, it can be difficult to choose where to head for your late-morning meal.
The Best Brunch Cafes in Hampstead: Map
Luckily for you, we’ve collated the most delicious brunch places in Hampstead – so keep reading to find out what ingredients you need for your perfect Sunday brunch.
1. Rosemary Cafe & Juicery: Healthy Brunch
Rosemary is one of the latest editions to the Hampstead brunch scene, opening in 2020. The small business focuses on organic, healthy, yet scrumptious food that’s good for the environment and the stomach.
Rosemary serves up the brunch classics at a super reasonable price too! Bacon and eggs, eggs benedict, avocado on toast, pancake – the works.
They also offer a huge array of drinks – none of which are alcoholic, so if you were looking for a boozy brunch, this might not be the place for you. However, if you’re looking to recover from a heavy night, they offer a delightful array of juices, smoothies, superfood drinks, and even protein shakes.
The vibes are cute, minimal, and aesthetic, matching the food in their appeal.
Price-wise, it’s super reasonable, with most main meals costing between £6 and £11.5. So you should have some spare change left-over for one of their homemade doughnuts.
There’s outdoor seating; they’re dog friendly, so all are welcome to Rosemary’s for brunch!

2. Ginger and White: Build Your Own Brunch
Ginger and white offer up simple brunch options at a good price. Although they don’t have many options, the few things they do make, they make well.
They offer a variety of eggs on toast, shakshuka, ham and cheese croissants, granola, and acai bowls. They have a huge list of sides you can add to your base meal of eggs and toast. Not only that, but they have all their bases covered for even the fussiest of brunch-goers, with additions of smoked salmon, turkey or normal bacon, mushrooms – you name it, they’ve got it.
The coffee is delicious, made by skilled baristas, and presented with a cute little pattern. The bustling yet laid-back atmosphere is a delight, and they offer a few dessert options too, if you’re still peckish.
They have seating inside and outside, but both will fill up pretty quickly every weekend. So be prepared to put your name on a waiting list, or join the queue, because Ginger and White is not a hidden gem. They are well known for their delicious brunches.

3. Silverberry: Gluten-Free Options
Silverberry covers the bases with a huge breakfast and brunch menu, with everything you could hope for! They even offer a few alternative options, such as shakshuka and Turkish eggs, if you’re in the market for brunch with a twist.
I personally appreciate Silverberry for their inclusion of gluten-free bread on the menu for an extra £1. Brunch is a very toast-based meal, so it’s great that those with diety issues can still partake (myself included).
As with many cafes today, they also offer a variety of milk options for your coffee and serve a range of vegetarian dishes.
The decor is simple, nothing too special – but they do have a large outdoor seating area out the back if you’re visiting on a warm day. Plus, dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating areas.
However, they aren’t particularly child-friendly and only allow kids in at certain times of the day – they state it’s for health and safety purposes. Perhaps they’ve had a few hazardous spilling accidents with hot beverages – I’m not too sure of the full story!
The price is about average, with a main meal costing between £7.5 and £14.

4. New York Cafe: French Toast
America is well-known for its hearty breakfasts – so why not bring a bit of that into the UK? Well, the New York Cafe has done just that, and they’ve done it well.
They offer a full American Brunch, slabs of French toast, and various other classics.
However, they also serve pancakes, which do not live up to what I expect of an American-style pancake – they are, in fact, quite small and thin – but still tasty.
The decor is pretty standard, although the outside of the building is totally charming. But they do have a good amount of space, even some out in the garden, so they don’t run out of tables too quickly.
Their breakfast, brunch, and lunch menu is served all at once, so if there was someone coming with you who wasn’t a brunch person, they could choose from one of the burgers, salads, or steaks instead.
A main meal will cost between £6 and £17, with lots of ‘add on’ options, the cost can mount pretty quickly.

5. The Wet Fish: Boozy Brunch
If you like a little prosecco or a Bloody Mary with your brunch, the wet fish has you sorted.
Despite the name, The Wet Fish serves up a simple yet delicious brunch menu until 4 pm, with the optional accompaniment of booze for around £8 or £9.
Avocado toast, eggs benedict, and even a hearty plate of bubble and squeak with crispy pancetta and eggs (at the weekend).
The Wet Fish decor has moody vibes with a quirky interior and rustic touches. Great bubbly vibes, and it’s super unpretentious.
The service is fast and efficient – and there is usually a table free, or at least a smaller queue than some of the other super popular brunch locations.
Most of their meals are around £8 to £12, and it’s worth every penny. I also appreciate how late they serve their brunch menu for those late risers!

6. Buns: Best Breakfast Sandwich
If you’re a little hungover, chowing down on breakfast with a knife and fork might be a little much. Instead, you can opt for an easy-peasy breakfast sandwich, which is much less stressful for a weary, sore head.
Buns offer a delicious breakfast and brunch menu, with various breakfast sandwiches. My personal favourite; is egg, bacon, and hash browns in a bun. I mean, does it get much better than this? Their breakfast buns cost between £6 and £11.
Buns offer some bun-less options too, such as the classic full English, veggie breakfasts, pancakes, and even welsh rarebit.
Friendly and efficient service in a stylish and fun setting. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Helpful Hacks for the Perfect Brunch & Breakfast in Hampstead
- If you’re visiting via public transport, either head for Hampstead Station on the Northern Line or get off at Hampstead Heath when on the Overground Line.
- Check the serving times of your preferred brunch place. Some restaurants opt for an ‘early in, early out’ situation for brunch and stop serving it by midday. Whereas some places don’t open until around 10 or 11 and serve brunch until quite late.
- If you know where you want to go, book online first. Brunch is an increasingly popular activity with a cult following, especially at the weekend. If you know where you want to go, try to book in advance!
- If you want a boozy brunch, check the menu online first. Unfortunately, some places don’t have alcohol licences and won’t serve any booze. So save yourself the disappointment, and make sure your preferred establishment serves up mimosas and Bloody Marys if that’s what you fancy!
