Very nice butcher’s shop. On street parking right outside. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there is a large selection of meats, cheeses and grocery items available. I was having particular difficulty finding a specific variety of cooked ham and one very helpful lady in their Muswell Hill branch, tracked one down to the Hampstead shop and reserved it for me. Would certainly recommend

Love the selection and quality of meat. We bought veal and very good quality. They have a small cheese counter at the back of the store. Found raclette and French cheeses

Obviously great for meat. Now that foreign cheeses aŕe less varied in bigger UK supermarkets the deli counter is useful. Quite a lot of unusual luxury sweets and sauces. Some fresh produce too, so you could get stuff in last minute local preparation for cooking. Apart from the meat counter, employees tend to be young and inexperienced – pleasant but not very knowledgeable unless you’re lucky. Good opening hours.

As a TV crew, we were lucky enough to film at this wonderful butcher for our tv documentary last week. We fell in love with this shop for many reasons, i.e. such a special independent butcher with amazing organic meats, equally fabulous staff and their customer service. After filming I returned to this place as a new customer,.

EDIT: service at the cheese/charcuterie counter has been disappointing and getting worse lately – very slow and low-energy staff, not particularly friendly or welcoming. Limited knowledge of products sold – customers often need to point the items they’re buying…
Serious training in the trade – and customer service – would certainly help!

For all the reports about inflation in the media… this is real inflation: marinated chicken used to be 10.95/kg. It’s now 14.25/kg. 30% higher – that’s rather steep.
I’m a regular as the quality of the meat is good, but perhaps they went a bit overboard with the pricing here! Note that service is just ok – could definitely be warmer and friendlier.

I have always found the Hampstead butcher to be good quality and staff polite .
Yes even if some prices are higher than a supermarket so is the quality .
ps try the tarasamalata ( think correct spelling!) it seems homemade !

great meat! pricey for my social status other than people in hampstead, but value for money! perfect barbecue stuff, I highly recommend it! this is not a sponsored review! gives one star less because the lamb kebab was extremely salty. when i get rich like the hampstead people i’ll be coming there regularly. the best marinated steak I have ever had !!!! £ 50 per kilo, it’s worth it! I mean kofta lamb kebab guys.

Avoid at all cost. In the store they refused to cut the ribs in half. And when I got back home and opened the bag I found out that they sold me rotten pork rib with vomiting smell. The worst butcher ever.
