Villa Bianca Restaurant & The Coffee Cup have been iconic Hampstead eatery’s & village hotspots for over half a century, and they continue to be so today! We like to think that we run our business with strong family values where the customer becomes part of the family even if it is just for the time it takes to drink a Cappuccino. So, whether you are enjoying a ‘Tagliatelle al Tartufo’ on the Villa Bianca balcony or a waking up early for a ‘Coffee cup special breakfast’ rest assured your experience will always be a great one!

A boutique Italian restaurant right at the heart of Hampstead. You will see two elderly gentlemen all suited up impeccably whom I believe are the owners of the restaurant.
Old fashioned way of serving but unfortunately lost of their Italian friendly touch.
There is a piano upstairs and there is live music played which is really wonderful for an evening meal.
Food is good as one would expect.
Food 8.5/10, ambience 9/10, service 8/10, value for money 8/10.
A hidden gem.

Little gem in Hampstead. We looked for a special restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and found the right spot. Warm and cordial Italian atmosphere. Of the food we ordered we especially liked the wild boar tagliatelle, Nodino veal loin chops and the Ossobuco. Delicious! The special highlight was the Zabaglione dessert freshly made in front of us. What a treat! Nice wines and cocktails. Chianti Classic is always a winner, and so is the Negroni and Manhattan. Grazie mille for a lovely dinner.

Ok experience, would not return and would not recommend.
Food is a 4/5 – some dishes very nice like the seafood risotto, seafood spaghetti and spaghetti vongole. Some complaints around portions being too small, in particular the ravioli.
More on the expensive side for what it is, but don’t mind that as it is on par with similar restaurants in the area.
Lovely picturesque restaurant as can be seen from the photos.
We sat indoors which felt a bit cramped and stuffy.
Taking all this into account in normal circumstances I would give a 4/5. However the review has been lowered to a 3/5 due to the rude waiter and what we felt was an air of pretentiousness (maybe he’s the owner, am unsure). All 5 people in our group felt he was rude and brash. He was also quite slow and had forgotten some requests from us.
Was an ok experience, but I don’t think it’s particularly nice going to a restaurant and being scared to ask a waiter for more water.

One of my favourite places to visit in North London, typical up market Italian with outstanding service.
We had a wonderful table outside with the glorious sunshine. The wine list is superb for such a little restaurant. It’s just a little walk off the main road. As you can see from the photos the food is superb, amazing flavour profiles that compliment each other perfectly.
Then mains we shared the Tomahawk it was rendered to perfection and cooked medium rare. We weren’t expecting the additions of frites and roasted vegetables.
The live piano finished the experience of for us.
We will be back very soon, it was an experience we won’t forget.

Absolutely stunning! Both food and service were great. They had good variety of pasta – both with fish and meat. Totally enjoyed Ragu tagliatelle which was rich in beef flavour with hint of tomatoes. Meatball in spaghetti meatball was just awesome. Herb, salt, texture etc – everything was well balanced, simple yet difficult to achieve the best. Relatively pricey for its portion but love to come back here again.

I think this is probably the best resteraunt experience I’ve had. From the little side street it’s tucked away, to the staff and surroundings. The food was absolutely unbelievable and fair prices for the great service and food quality you receive. No doubt in my mind I’ll be back here very soon. SUPERB !

Extensive menu of food, wine and cocktails. Every dish we selected was enjoyable and very-well presented. There was a piano player which added to the ambience without interfering with our conversation. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is elegant, and located on a very pretty and quiet side street just off the busy high street. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

An absolute gem of an Italian restaurant. This family run business will welcome you as if to their own kitchen. The food is outstanding, from the traditional to the inventive. As well suited for a romantic dinner for two as a large family celebration.

Beautiful restaurant with great service. Located in a really pretty part of Hampstead. I was a little worried about the menu, being a vegan but it wasn’t an issue. The food tasted amazing I will definitely be returning.

My family and I visited Villa Bianca this evening. And WOW! The staff were absolutely amazing and very attentive but not overbearing at all. I’m not sure what some of the more negative reviews are about as both of the elderly gentlemen were very kind and helpful and we had a lovely time talking to them as well as the other members of staff. My Chilean grandmother especially enjoyed speaking with one of the waiters in Spanish which was a lovely surprise for her.
I had the Polipo starter, and my gosh! It was the best octopus I’ve ever had. It was absolutely delicious and I’ll definitely be dreaming of it until I can come again. We all had different starters and mains from different sections of the menu. Each dish was highly praised by all of us.
We enjoyed every single thing about the restaurant, and I know we will return whenever we can, especially for more special occasions.
Thank you for having us and taking such good care of us!
