So my girlfriend found a deal to eat here and we took the journey from south London to Hampstead and boy was it worth it. The venue is very inviting and cozy. The chap who looked after us was really nice and attentive. It wasn’t packed but it was half filled on a Thursday lunchtime. He was the only one serving. He always came back to make sure we got drinks and food. He cleared up the dished promptly so I am very pleased with service. Down to food. We decided to treat ourselves the halloumi was crispy and fresh the sauce was delicious and not too sweet. The squid was tasty and crispy and a good size the chilli had a good kick to it. The chicken liver pate was divine it was smooth and rich, the sauce was tasty so complimented it well.
The steak for main was medium rare it was tender and tasty. The pie to share my god was worth every penny it was huge and to share but it was filled with meat, the crust was rich and you just wanted more. For dessert we just have double expresso with ice cream, the vanilla ice cream was rich and fresh. The expresso was strong and hit the spot.
I highly recommend here.

Sunday Roast — generous portions that could feed two. I got the beef with the horseradish— everything cooked to perfection. I was amazed with how crispy the potatoes were. Nicely done!

The food at the Horseshoe used to be amazing. Since reopening, it’s disappointing. Ordered 2 portions of chips – guaranteed win at any pub. Not here! One bowl was so overcooked they were crispy to the point of powdering when crunched. Even the cooked OK ones were tiny little scraps and far from being chips. Will not be eating here again.

Probably best gastro pub I’ve been to. Sunday roast was exceptional. Service excellent. Wine selection excellent. Well made cocktails. Great atmosphere and music. Rob the manager is great! A real win. Sundays sorted 🙂

Really disappointing. We reserved a table which wasn’t ready when we arrived and had to wait 15 minutes at the bar. The bartender was rude telling us to move. Our meals took a very long time to come out, and every time we’d order a drink it would take such a long time. The roast pork was extremely dry. We had to chase for the sides we’d ordered. One waitress was really kind, doing her best, and gave us a free round of drinks but the others weren’t helpful and she seemed to be doing most of the work.

Visited whit some friends for couple of beers and a meal, I did really enjoy the beer selection no massive but a bit of everything ( wheat beers, ipa, xpa, apa, lagers, cider, stout).
Food wise we had beef burger, meat free burger, sausage and mash and and few sides, food was quick and very tasty (the homemade chips alone are worth the visit), the waiter did really look after us,unfortunately I haven’t ask her name (blond tall leady)
Will definitely recommend this pub.

Had a pint here after strolling through the Heath. Hit the spot. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere.

Having been going for years I noticed this week that the last 3 times I had half pints but were charged for pints. I have called three times now and they still haven’t called me back and I spoke to the manager who had to discuss it for some reason with her general manager and said he was busy to deal with it.
