A beautiful stately home in Hampstead either a wonderful walk through Regents Park (appx 6 km) or a short walk from the underground. A beautiful sunken garden can be visited before you enter the house. A selection of old keyboard instruments are displayed and often played.

Beautiful house. It’s not really meant to be a house of significance however has a fantastic collection of playable harpsichords and lots of porcelains. If you go on Sundays the person in charge of maintaining the instruments actually plays them!

Beautiful NT house & garden, well maintained, staff were extremely welcoming they went above and beyond to answers all the questions my little ones had to ask our house tour was excellent. Our added bonus was we were the only visitors on the premises.
Located in Hampstead, a short walk from the family friendly Golders Hill Park made our day an excellent one
My only negative would be…
I wish we stayed longer
Tip: bring a picnic!

The garden is a joyful place to wander round and loved the orchard and the small greenhouse. Walled gardens are just such brilliant places go grow healthy and vibrant plants, the garden is kept in really nice condition.
Fenton House is a must visit place which I hope people do in numbers as this is somewhere I am going to visit whenever I get time.
Highly recommended and such a nice place to visit

This is a lovely National Trust Property just up the Hill from Hampstead Tube Station. The house is very well kept inside and from the top floor you can see Canary Wharf. The gardens are large and very well kept and would be a joy to sit out in on a hot summer;s day.

What a gorgeous hidden gem! Hampstead Village itself is charming and attractive. Walk up Holly Mount and you’ll discover this historic oasis with beautifully landscaped walled gardens. The house is charming yet the gardens are its crowning glory. Well worth the visit!

This beautiful 17th-century house is a hidden gem in London, a place of unique charm and ambience.
Lady Binning bought the house in 1936 and filled it with her highly decorative collections of porcelain, Georgian furniture and 17th-century needlework. Boasting plenty of English, european, Chinese and Japanese historical items.
The sound of early keyboard instruments (approximately 12 throughout the property) and the colours of early 20th-century drawings and paintings add to a captivating experience.
A lovely location if you’re around Hampstead. I had not expected the size of the gardens and orchid area. It really does feel like your out of London. There are nicely locate chairs and seats for the public to just enjoy the environment, sunshine and the insects and birds. And those apples, very tempting to taste it’s juicy inner!
Helpful national trust staff as always.
