Terrible customer service. Rude and obstructive when I wanted them to recheck my prescription, which turned out to be slightly wrong. Certainly won’t go there again. By contrast Jimmy Fairly opticians (round the corner in Hampstead High Street) were delightful to deal with.

Great Covid protocols, very professional and friendly sight and contact lens tests and good follow ups when glasses received. Had one issue and they very kindly sorted it out in a customer friendly way.

I took my daughter to see the opticians today, and this was the worst service she had ever gotten. The optometrist was rude, impatient, and also said”where are you originally from, we don’t do things like that in the U.K.” The optometrist did not listen to what I was saying, and did not tell me how much my daughter’s prescription had changed, but only said that they would give me a copy afterwards. They did not wait for my daughter to give proper answers, saying “are you sure about that” and not giving her much time to respond. I am very unhappy with this, but one of the staff was kind enough to listen to our complaints.

Awful experience this morning. Staff NOT understanding at all. Were running late for an appointment – called the clinic to say this. Was advised that we’ll be seen if we are 10 mins late max. We were 11 minutes late and turned away. They said that the eye test needs to last 25 minutes by their policy and we can only be 10 mins late – so, by their logic, 1 minute difference would have reduced our appointment time to 24 minutes. Ridiculous. We rushed in, with a little child, to be turned away because of one bloody minute. Interestingly, on the phone I was told that we cant be over 10 mins late because it’s a full day clinic today, very busy. Then we were offered 5 different slots for today to make up for the missed appointment. None of this makes sense, just turned our morning into a very stressful one. Will lodge an official complaint to Boots Opticians about this practice. Staff could be a lot more understanding and kind.

They really seemed to know what they are doing here, polite, friendly and professional, strongly suggest a visit…. value is not all about price, though theirs are competitive.
